I knew it was just a matter of time before we would see positive data and although it is not huge news, existing home sales are up, according to the NAR. This in conjunction with low interest rates and a surge of home buyers....I think we better start preparing for a slamming summer. I myself am getting really busy with buyers and look forward to adding additional buyers to my client base.
Are you other local AZ agents seeing the buyers surface and getting ready to buy? Are they informing you, WHY, they are deciding to buy now? Is it the tax credit, low rates or lower home prices....or all of the above.

I'm not in Arizona. As of 01/15/09 I have noticed an significant increase in buyers looking to buy now. It could be more affordable prices, tax credit and low interest rates for sure.

Got to love the positive attitude. Slamming summer.... yeah man. Great to see a person who is not saying.... gloom and doom.... but looking forward and preparing. Way to be.

I'm in NC but it is definitely picking up here. I think low int. rates and $8000 is helping!
Sorry, I would love it to be the case here, but having just completed market reports for our nearby areas sales are down :(. We had a large number or buyer activity in February but last 2 weeks have been really quiet. And of those 10 sets of buyers three ended up getting under contract. I am all for good news, so here is some positive vibes for sales picking up. ~Rita

This is gerat news, with Arizona rebouding a little bit maybe this will help my state too! I have been getting busier that is for sure, but I am glad to see other states having a little uplift as well. Thanks for the good news!

Florida here, Things getting busier for sure. The 8k credit helps I think depending on price range.
