Free Events in Phoenix

Free events in PhoenixThere are several free events going on in Phoenix right now. Are you a Suns fan? Do you love to sing? Put those two passions together and head on down to the US Airways Center (201 E Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ) today, September 9th, until 7pm to audition to sing the national anthem at one of the Suns home games during the 2009-2010 season. All ages are welcome. If you have a performance resume, you are encouraged to bring one. However, it is not mandatory to have one. If you have any questions, please call 602-514-8494.

For those artistic teens in the Phoenix area, the Phoenix Art Museum will be holding a FREE workshop at 6:30pm. Teens will be taught how to create a landscape using collage and watercolor techniques. For more info, please call 602-257-1222.

The Phoenix Art Museum is also hosting a screening of the documentary "A Walk into the Sea: Danny Williams and the Andy Warhol Factory" today at 7pm. This documentary tells the story of filmmaker Danny Williams, a member of the Andy Warhol Factory who disappeared in 1966. For more info, please call 602-257-1222.

The Poisoned Pen in Phoenix is holding a signing for William Kent Krueger, author of the Cork O'Connor series of books, "Iron Lake" and "Boundary Waters" tonight, September 9th, at 7pm.
