Calling all Phoenix outdoor and nature lovers! If you haven't visited the North Mountain Phoenix Preserve be sure to set aside some time over the weekend to explore the preserve with your family and friend.

You'll be glad you did - the preserve is gorgeous!

And after your walk or hike you can enjoy a coffee at Starbucks or breakfast or lunch at the Moon Valley Cafe or visit the bakery at AJ's
and enjoy a sweet treat and coffee on their patio. All are located at the corner of 7th Street and Thunderbird.

There are miles and miles of trails for both beginners to experts. You can go up the steep hills and get a really good workout that will make you feel the burn! Or if strolling along the wide trails near the base and enjoying the views, wildflowers and wildlife is more your style that's great too. And for you bikers, you'll be in biking heaven on all the trails.

There is a North Mountain Preserve Visitor Center located on 7th Street south of Thunderbird. It's a great place to learn the history of the area. You will also see local photographers exhibits plus much much more. Many people meet at the visitor center and begin their hike or walk at that point. There is plenty of parking. Be sure to bring water and wear good shoes!
