Workaholic vs Hardworker

Do not confuse hard work from workaholism because hardworkers are aware of the boundaries between personal times and work. They can still function normally when not at work while workaholics have no personal times and cannot perform well when they are not at work.

Workaholic life is described as a striking lack of balance. The workaholic provides himself insufficient time to develop and enjoy personal relationships like family. Caring and attention for herself is low on her priority list, and health problems are frequently overlooked until they become debilitating.

Hard workers acknowledge their work as a necessary and at times rewarding obligation. Workaholics see their work as a place of safety and security from the harshness of life and a detachment or distance from unwanted feelings or commitments. Workaholics get an adrenalin rush from accomplishing impossible demands while hard workers do not.

Hard workers can disable their work appetite while workaholics can not. They continue to be preoccupied with work no matter where. Hard workers are aware when to set restrictions on their work in order to available for their family, friends and have remarkable time with them.

Workaholics let their work to control all other areas of their life. Family commitment, friends and their children are frequently made and then ruined to meet their work demands.
