People are buying parcels of land over 10 acres in the Sulpher Springs valley area of Cochise County.
14 parcels have sold since February of 2007.
The Douglas area has sold 6
Elfrida sold 4
McNeal sold 3
Bisbee sold 1
There are 103 parcels available on the market in this area now. All over 10 acres.
It seems there is alot of activity in McNeal. 4 parcels are currently under contract and there are 37 available. McNeal is about 27 miles north of Douglas. 37 parcels over 10 acres, sounds to me like the town is for sale. It is a small rural town.
The acreage ranges in the valley are from 10 to 520 acres, with most of the parcels about 40 acres.
What does this mean?
Well, you could own your very own peice of acreage for a modest sum. Hold onto it for retirement because land generally goes up in value and can be more stable than the housing market. Or you could purchase a large parcel and invest in a subdivision (of course you will obey all AZ land laws). Yet another option would be tobuild your dream home in an affordable area.
Contact me and I will get you more details on these opportunities.
