Today, we bring you an outstanding Arizona photo titled "The Road To Lake Kinnikinick." The photo was taken on July 13th, 2011 on a desolate stretch of Forest Service Road 82 east of Mormon Lake in Northern Arizona. I have photographed much of Arizona and the Southwest. When I think of Arizona, I think of sweeping desert vistas, red rock formations, the Grand Canyon and iconic, bleak, mountain ranges. This unexpected picture popped out of a high meadow, gashed by a crude dirt road. As a wild monsoon storm set the dark backdrop to the east this high meadow road and trees were caught in the glow of the soon to be disappearing sun.
