Working on a challenging file today for a deadline of funding next Friday, I found myself to be quite stressed and challenged. How as I going to make sure the underwriter was seeing all of the merits of the file instead of just looking at all of the questionable things?
Writing long, drawn out emails just does not allow for proper presentation when emotion cannot be pertrayed in email, unless you put an smiley face :). OR TYPE IN CAPS. I so does was not going to work in this case. The underwriter was hell bent in making the borrower jump through yet more hoops, blood tests and urine samples were ordered as well.
So I took the time to drive over the the underwrers office this morning and patiently discussed the merits of the file and smiled and joked with her. We are good to go now. The file will fund on time. Phew.
The file just needed a little butter.
