How many of you like to attend Celtic Festivals and Scottish Highland Games?

Well Tucson was in for a treat last weekend as the Annual Games came for a whole weekend including a Friday night Dinner.

A festive time of Dancing, Music, meeting of the Clans, the usual Tossing of the Caber, and the great performance by the sheep dogs was had by all.

Personally with 1/8 Scottish, and the rest Welsh, and also born in Wales, it brought a tear to my eye, but I do realize how fortnuate I am to live in sunny and beautiful Tucson Arizona without rain!

I also met a gentleman in line at the El Coral Steakhouse who was wearing the Clan Donald Tartan (This happens to be my clan) Of course I had to say hello, and it turned out that his family came from the same town as mine, and he was the splitting image of my great-grandfather.

It is a small world!

By the way for anyone visiting Tucson, the El Coral Steakhouse on River Rd, is one of my favorite restaurants and by far worth the wait for an Old Tucson Tradition
