It's time to share what is going on in our market. Just FYI, all of the nay-sayers and negative news doesn't necessarily reflect the "real" truth. As my readers know, I keep a daily tally of active listings and of listings that are under contract. I have been seeing the numbers creep up. For instance - by way of example - we had 3,897 pending as of January 23! As of April 2, 2008, 6,850!!! I remember - January 2005 - just under 7,000 total active listings in our entire MLS. So, what do you think? Could this be a trend?
I'll let you decide, but I think that buyers who are ready to purchase a home, or sellers wanting to sell, JUST MIGHT want to consider making their move while: interest rates are low, there is plenty of inventory, and sellers are willing to negotiate!

Teri~I so agree with you. This is such a great time to buy. I keep wondering why the hesitation for so many still, but with more posts like this we should get the word around. Have a great night!
TERI, it sounds like things are really turning around in your market.
Hi Julie, it is a great time to buy. Love your new blog decorations. I'm experimenting - again. ;-)
Hi Marchel, I think numbers speak volumes. Thanks for coming by. Like your new "look" as well. ;-)
Teri, I am glad your market is turning. Certain markets in my area are turning too. It will not take to much more so the media will start recognizing this too. AJ
Teri - thats great that your area is starting to move.... it needs to get worse before it can get better right? your area is going through that... keep at it.
Hey- how did you get your back ground all red and with your logo on top?
Teri ~~ I agree with your analysis: NOW is the time to buy.
By the way, I love the new look, Lady in Red All the Way. :)
Teri glad to hear your market has been improving. Your new look is great too :)
Teri,
What an eye catching page you have here! I've worked on mine but am not satisfied.
Ok, to the subject at hand.....what are the Buyers waiting for?
Teri, It's funny to think about Jan. 2005 now. I was just getting laid off after 27 years and say, nah, I don't want to be a real estate agent. Look what happened! :)
Teri--You really stand out with your RED page...Hopefully it leads to being READ more often! Great stats for the AZ market place too!
Hi AJ, our news is actually getting some "signs" of being more positive. I think things are turning. ;-)
Hi Freddy, if you haven't already figured it out, just stop by the featured posts. Brad Carroll has designed a new customizer for our blogs, and Jeff of RES has provided a tutorial on how to implement it. Great fun! I've just begun..this was a quickie "do." ;-) Enjoy!
Marzena, yep, gotta keep that red thing going. ;-)
Bill, our market is definitely showing improvement. And - thanks... ;-)
Cynthia, I'm not completely satisfied with mine either - yet! ;-) Yep, buyers need to move ahead - now!!!
Doreen, you mean you started real estate in 2005? Wow!!! What a time to jump in. Laid off after that many years? That's one reason I like working for "me." ;-)
Well Teri E: How clever you are - such a good play on words! ;-)
As long as employment and personal income begin to trend upward, you can expect home purchases to follow!
Jeff, and it appears as if that is happening. PLUS Canadians are seeing the value of their dollar compared to our's! ;-)
Teri, no, I didn't start in 2005. That might have been nice. :) I started toward the end of 2006...
Doreen, even more of a challenge... ;-) At least you are getting the hard part over first! ;-)
