Making it a happy day for all while giving back to the community.

Do good and feel good - Sometimes, giving back to the community can be done in more ways than one. As an agent, my job is to perform real estate functions without the expectations of getting anything in return. A passion to help, sort of.

I love Tempe, AZ - And when I found out that a child of a police officer has a rare disease, my heart went out to him. I have two boys and thank God everyday for them. There is a fundraising event coming up in September for him. The event is being put on by a fellow police officer here in Tempe. I wanted to help. But I also didn't want it to be just the $75.00 ticket price. Maybe I could do more.

Spend where you live - I have many friends in the Tempe area. And, I've been teaching my kids that spending money in and around where you live is important. I know many Tempe business owners and today, since I only have one client appointment, I will be visiting these businesses to collect items of value for the silent auction.

Raising awareness - Not only will I be doing good for the fundraising event, I will be supporting the businesses of people that I've become friends with, and I know that I will also be getting my face and my card out into these places again. At the same time, as contributors to the event, their services and business will have an emotional connection with attendees.

Happy day for me = who knows? - I'll be happy to see many of them. They'll be happy to help out. And, who knows, maybe they'll know someone that needs to buy or sell a home. If not, I'll be fresh on their mind and they may come across someone later. The best part: Since I know them already we'll all be smiling, laughing, sharing and catching up!

What a great way to spend the day!

Find a charity doing a silent auction and you can get out, meet business owners with a purpose, do some good and have a happy day!
