On July 30th of this year the President bush signed into law HR 3221, one part of this bill closed the loophole where the buyers were getting 100% financing by getting the seller to pay the closing costs and the down payment for the buyer, as a part if this ill the buyer can still obtain Down payment assistance but not from someone with a financial interest in the transaction.
In my opinion this is a good thing, i have seen this loophole abused to the extreme, people who should barely be renting are buying and have no stake in the home, foreclosures from buyers getting seller DPA is much higher than other areas of normal finance.
Why is it so bad that a buyer should have to save money to buy a home, it is a prividledge to own a home in my opinion not a right.,
