Recently I helped a self defense instructor make a short video to show at the start of her classes for Realtors. The instructor, Anni with Protect Yourself, does not believe in making all defense moves available to just anyone. She instructs women only, saying that she could never forgive herself if she gave valuable information to a would be attacker.
I tell my clients they do not have to show "spur of the moment buyers" if they really want to buy a home they can call me for a prompt showing. STAY SAFE OUT THERE. NO SALE IS WORTH JEOPARDIZING YOUR SAFETY!

Karen, open houses can be dangerous. Why should we put ourselves or our sellers in a position where we need to brush up on our self defense skills?
Karen, great video! You are a natural on camera.
I work in a model home so it's just like an open house. I have learned to lock my purse in the trunk of my car while at work. I have had several friends who have had their identity stolen while working in the model home.
Karen - Great video!! We can't ever be too careful. I have often given instructions to not have my sellers to ever show a home without my presence. Great awareness.
