My proudest day, I got to vote for the first time

This morning, after being in this great country for almost 20 years and 4 months after getting my citizenship i got the honor and privilege of voting for the first time.

It is amazing to me how many people take this for granted and overlook the importance of this process, we each have a say in how our country is going to move for the next number of years and even though you may not like the outcome, you have a say in it.

Its more then countless other countries get right?  I'm not happy on the vote cast, but I'm certainly counting my blessings as an American and will pray for those in that incredible position.  God shed his grace on us.  We'll need it!

Andrew - Congratulations on taking seriously the privilege of voting in this country. We are blessed. We have a new president and whether we voted for him or not, now we must support him and pray for him. I for one put my trust in Someone higher than the President :)

Congratulations and thank you for voting!  I know those of us born here often take this right for granted and many, many new citizens treasure it.  It is good to have a reminder of what a wonderful right it is.

Congratulations Andrew that's wonderful, and thank you for being so proud of it. I agree with Chris, we often take that right for granted when we shouldn't. Cheers ~DJ

Andrew - Congratulations. America is better off with committed new citizens like you.

Congratulations Andrew and thanks so much for participating. It is such a privilage.

Hey Andrew, congratulations!  My husband is a naturalized citizen and the most patriotic American I know!  Check out my post about my daughter's first time voting today!

Congratulations.  It is a privilege and an honor to vote.  Thanks for voting.
