When I was growing up my dad used to take us back to eastern Oklahoma where we camped on and around the Illinois River. He seemed to want to explore every dirt road. We would be driving down a really curvey two-lane highway often near Talequah when he spotted a dirt road. "I'll bet that road goes to the river" let's go see. And off he would go.
This road is in the Prescott National Forest south of Prescott. As I was walking on this road, I thought this particular scene invited me to go see just like it did for my dad.
It turns out that this road does lead into the Prescott National Forest, but it does not go to the river or lead to any water at all for that matter.
It does lead to a white spar. If you don't know what that is, check it out!
