As one of the most sought after communities in the entire Phoenix metroplex, McCormick Ranch has long attracted new residents. Like virtually all of Scottsdale, barring the far northern reaches, though, there is precious little buildable land. There are one or two vacant lots scattered about the various subdivisions which comprise McCormick Ranch, but no new single-family home tracts in sight.

There is, however, one new townhouse development that is currently under construction. Veritas of McCormick Ranch will be located in the southern portion of McCormick Ranch on Via Paseo Del Norte. Featuring 36 "villas" between 1500 and 2000 square feet, the development lies in Paseo Village. This development will inject new life into an established neighborhood of homes which were predominantly built between 1970-1980.
The Paseo Village Shopping Center is home to the brand new LA Fitness center (of which I am a brand new member), and neighborhood breakfast favorite Lox, Stock and Bagel.
Of course, the complex lies right in the heart of McCormick Ranch's numerous amenities including bike paths, greenbelts, golf, lakes, parks (including the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park) and more. The development itself sits on the site where an old office complex was razed. I must admit a little guilty satisfaction to this nuance as the former complex was home to the orthodontics practice which tortured me mercilessly some 20 years prior as a teenager growing up in McCormick Ranch.

While units will most likely not be ready for this year's seasonal visitors, framing is under way on one of the 9 buildings that the 2.4 acre development will house. Buildings will be 2 and 3 stories tall. Once completed, these units will be quite the rare animal. New construction in McCormick Ranch that is tailor made for seasonal residents.

Paul - I look forward to seeing follow-up photos as the progression continues! Any idea on the base price yet? Are they being gobbled up?
Paul- Sounds like you really keep on top of things in your area like McCormick Ranch. I know not many agents do that so buyers and sellers are making a good choice when they choose you to work with. Katerina
Paul: This looks like a nice community. We have the same problem in SW Durham...no more buildable land. It is almost gone. Now...we have hit the phase where builders are buying older properties and tearing them down. It is interesting to see how a city evolves. I've been here a long time...and I did not anticipate some of the changes that are now in the works. GREAT info, amigo!
