Good job, Paul! Jack and Wyatt are adorable!
You don't sound like what I imagined!
Paul...Thanks so much for the ride. I really enjoyed the company also. Now I can just bookmark this post and take my choo choo ride every week also.
Kathleen
Hi Paul, why didn't you take me to the choo choo park? It looks like a good time!
Jack's little voice is so precious! This is really cute, Paul. What a great park! That must make for really great birthday parties. Wyatt must really be running around now.
This really gave me a great picture of the park that you had described before. It's even better than I thought.
All aboard the Crazy Train!
I know, Jess. And that was with double time. It's a long ride, you know?
Judy: Next time, I promise!
Kathleen: It's a date!
Amanda: You know that was sped up, right? ;)
Ok Paul, so that is part of the amenities in your community? Do I dare ask what the monthly HOA Dues are?
Jeremy: Drumroll please ... $180 ... ANNUALLY!
I wanna ride the choo-choo...and play on the bouncy house...and have a birthday party...those Slaybaugh kids get to do everything.
LISA, AIM!
That's awesome Paul. It looks like you guys had a great afternoon. Pioneer Park here in Fbks has a narrow gauge railroad that runs the perimeter of the park but it's a 15 minute ride at best.
That doesn't qualify as picking on me, Jess. Just wait for my next effort. You will really want to hammer me when I get squared away with this thing ;)
Lisa, I know two boys who would love to share an afternoon at the park with you :) The missus and I can always use another day at the spa!
Paul - Nicely done, even with the crazy fast talking during the ride itself. You have a very cute family!
We always have a blast there, Jesse. It pays to get there early on the weekends. About 15 minutes after I shot this footage, it was slammed. Thanks for reading.
I almost dubbed in some music over those sequences, Jason, but I thought it was hilarious as is. Thanks for checking it out.
I love getting his voice on tape, Elaine. Wyatt's too, now that he is babbling constantly. I'm going to miss it when he says all the words correctly. The park is amazing, isn't it?
You know me too well, Amanda ;)
Paul- Great job on getting your video online, got it down better than me! Hey, come and see my video flop post, maybe you can tell me where my blonde moment begins. :)
Hi Katerina - I responded to your comment in the testing group. I don't think the guys want us kicking this stuff around publically yet. Thanks.
How creative, love the way you did the old time sephia with it. We use to have one in a park where I grew up, it was so much fun and this brought back so many memories. good job.
Don't tell anyone but the railroad was how we traveled when I was a child. Every year back and forth to NC from DC to spend the summer on the farm. Our parents and grandparents packed lunches in shoeboxes for us to carry on the, what then was a 6 hour train ride.
I still prefer travel by train to plane.
Lovely post.
Missy: Thank you. I had a lot of fun playing around with this in the editor, and knew I had to make some portion of the footage look old fashioned. It harkens back to the history of the some of the trains on display in the park (one was in use in AZ until 1914). Thanks for riding along with us!
Your secret is safe with me and the internet, Lenn. You are right. There is nothing like train travel. It just feels like an adventure.
Your little one sure does a great choo choo! How come we all talk with high voices to little kids? LOL! I'm glad you're having a good time with this...mine arrives today and I just saw a post how it wasn't great. I will have to see for myself...but from what I've seen....I'm going to have more fun than the Sony....I can't figure the MAJORITY of those buttons out....lol!
Not always with the high voice, Sally. He gets baritone when he's trying to drown his little brother in the sink ;) The flip camera is easy as pie to use. You basically have "on/off," "zoom" and a back arrow and forward arrow for reviewing scenes. That's about it. It has a port for a tripod, which is great because it can be quite shaky when trying to film a panoramic scene. So far, though, I love it. The editing is the part that requires a little learning. Looking forward to seeing some of that beautiful Hawaiian scenery.
I was talking about YOUR voice lol! I'm wondering if you talk the sae way to adults :)
I also bought a tripod and haven't used it with the Canon or Sony but I do believe it'd come in handy with this one....it looks a little shaky at times (or the people holding it have had too much coffee haha) and like you said...a great panoramic scene (stay tuned for some surf scenes :) it'd be great!
So was I, Sally. My voice gets deeper as he gets progressively naughtier. You'll like the flip camera. It is shaky because it is so light and compact. Responds to every caffeine related tremor. That tripod will be perfect for your surf scenes. You could just shoot 20 minutes of your own version of Endless Summer. No narration or anything else needed. Just waves crashing and locals surfing. I'd watch it over and over again.
Paul your kids are adorable! Choo choo! How fun! You sound so funny when you are talking about the birthday party. Fast, like on helium! LMAO Or a munchkin, oompa loompa..( a larger one of course) The 20 min condensed version. Hysterical! Oscar DeLaHoya...rolling
I remember "way back when" we went to a surf movies and I passed out in line lol! I just got the video this evening....I watched your whole show and showed my husband how you fast forwarded stuff....and how you sound like a record that was run quick haha. ...Now look...he took over my pc and putting video editing software on it.....let's see if I can get my first one up....thanks Paul....give this old lady hope lol!
Hey, Paul. Your kids and your wife are so adorable! Love the credits at the end. Makes me want to get a flip video!
Hi Paul - Fun video, really shows off the park. You have a wonderful family - loved the chipmunk voice.
Vanessa: That part makes me laugh every time, too. Not much funnier than a grown man saying "bouncy house" in high speed. Thanks for taking the ride with use!
Sally: You'll figure it all out. Good look and get that camera rolling!
Nat: Go get one. They're cheap and easy to use. I love being able to just stick the thing in my pocket. I always have it with me now, just in case. Thanks for watching this.
Virginia: Thank you. I am indeed blessed with a great family. The chipmunk voice is real, though. ;)
