Bella Terra Subdivision

Bella Terra began as a BySynergy Community, o sustainable development through common sense building practices. It was to be gated with 106 homesites, integrated with vineyards and orchards along Oak Creek. Unfortunately problems started to become apparent in July, 2006 when Russ Lyon Realty who had been promoting and representing Bella Terra stated they would no longer be doing so. Then came the articles in the newspaper stating The Sierra Club and Red Rock Rural Community Association found BySynergy to be in violation of Clean Water Act requirements, by filling in wetlands in order to have its own sewer treatment facility located on the banks of Oak Creek. As recently as March 2, 2007 the Red Rock News stated Bella Terra still lacked a special permit- A Section 404 Permit to continue work on the subdivision. The 404 Permit process often requires archaeological, historical structure and endangered species act studies. And the story continues....will keep you posted!
