This fun-filled two day celebration begins at 6 p.m. on the evening of July
3 with a fashion show and dancing to a great band in Veterans' Memorial
Park. On July 4 at 8 a.m., the "Pets & People Parade" will start from the
Park to open the daylong festivities. A 50-gun salute and a ceremony with a
proclamation by the Mayor will follow at noon, with the National Anthem.
Craft and food vendors, to include a chili cook-off, and informational and
military displays and booths will be at the Park throughout the day. At 5:30
p.m., the Bad News Blues Band will perform, followed by the 36th Army Band
at 7 p.m. Prior to the largest fireworks display in Cochise County, the 36th
Army Band will play Tchaikovsky's famous 1812 Overture with a rousing cannon
salute.
