"I found you the place you're looking for!" I exclaimed to Bruce.
He and his wife had hoped for a quiet home in downtown Mesa.
He wanted a space- lots of it. He told me to "take my time." That was last autumn.
Homes in the historic district that fit his needs rarely come on the market. This one fit the bill.
"I've changed my mind, Chuck." he responded.
"The wife and I have finally accepted the new reality... we don't need all this space- the kids are gone. We've decided it's time to give those new high-rises with the view of the lake a shot."
Bruce is the new urban buyer.
Tempe Town Lake is a somewhat man-made phenomena.
The Salt River is an ever-changing geographical feature of the Phoenix area. At times, Arizona State University students could hear the waves lap against the shoreline. At other times the river is nothing more than a dry bed.
This all changed when the city of Tempe decided to create something memorable. They fashioned a lake out of a portion of the river. Many balked at the expense. Now they marvel at the beauty.
And now people are able to live along this river. There are high rise condos that offer a perfect panoramic view of this modern splendor.
I love it when man and nature combine to create something magical.
If you'd like to tour the new condos, give me a call.
I'm Chuck Willman and I represent home buyers and sellers in Arizona's Valley of the Sun.
