
Located near the I-10 freeway on Grant Road is a commercial property presently for sale. It's a meat-packing plant that's been closed for several years.
The concrete block wall that surrounds it on three sides is nearly half a mile in length, and the entire wall has been painted with a mural that features cowboys, their cows, and life in the desert southwest.
Graffiti is starting to take its toll on the mural, so I spent a morning photographing it. I particularly like this piece of the mural because of the live plant growing in front of the wall. It looks like the cows have decided to munch on it.
