Xtreme Muzik The Tour
John Rich and Kenny Alphin country music's duo, also known as Big & Rich light up the stage on Kino Sport Complex, 2500 E Ajo Way and are joined by country music artist Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy. It startsd at 4pm today and costs $37 - $75 at the gate.
2nd Saturdays Downtown
This is the monthly downtown party this month featuring Descarga, a 10-piece Latin jazz group, headlining the big Fox Tucson Theatre show. Also performing: Ted Ramirez, A Son Y Sol and Suerte. Old School Jam
The Mega 106.3 Old School Summer Jam goes back in time with nine R&B artists and groups that will rock the stage with hits that span the 1960s-'80s. Tonights concert features: Heatwave, Delfonics, Rose Royce, GQ, Barbara Lewis, the Originals, Evelyn Champagne King, JoJo (original lead singer of the Mary Jane Girls) and the Floaters. Alejandro Fernández
Casion Del Sol presents this Mexican pop artist here to perform his latest single, "Bajo un mismo sol," live. Fernandes combines Mexican folk, ranchera, bolero and pop music in shows. James McMurtry
Son of the famous novelist Larry McMurtry ("Lonesome Dove") launched his career at Tucson's former Sawmill Cafe while he attended the University of Arizona. Back in Tucson, he'll be performing at Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St. at 7pm tonight. Tickets are $15 = you can buy in advance or at the door! www.hotelcongress.com for more info.
Red, White & UFest
If you want heavy metal and feel like a drive - head to Phoenix International Raceway to jam with Five Finger Death Punch, Danko Jones, Filter, Jamey Jasta, My Darkest Days, Black Veil Brides, Times of Grace, Boy Hits Car, Digital Summer and Back From Ashes during todays daylong festival.
