9/11 In Tucson

For all - we remember. Tucson honors 9/11:

Walk in Remembrance 10th Anniversary of 9/11 Walk & 5K Military/First Responders Fun Run - Reid Park, East 22nd Street and South Country Club Road. Walk, Arizona Search and Rescue canine demonstrations, Tucson Fire Department parade of fire engines, 9/11 remembrance ceremony, apple pie and ice cream social. 7 a.m.-noon.

Tucson Firefighters, Tucson Police and Military Sept. 11 Memorial Event - Park at Tucson Convention Center east parking lot, 260 S. Church Ave. Ceremony at Fire Central, 300 S. Fire Central Place, at 8 a.m. followed by 21-gun salute, flag raising and playing of taps at Tucson Police Headquarters, 270 S. Stone Ave. Ceremony continues at 9:30 a.m. at Reid Park band shell, South Country Club Road and East 22nd Street and an F-16 flyby. www.sept11tucson.org

Tribute to Local First Responders and Their Families - Casas Church, 10801 N. La Cholla Blvd. First-responder vehicles on display. Displays from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

"Stronger than Steel" photo exhibit at La Encantada, 2905 E. Skyline Drive. Photo collection by focuses on men and women in the line of duty for Northwest Fire, Tucson Fire, Tucson Police and Pima County Sheriff's departments. 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

"Rebirth" - The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway. Documentary features five people coping with the aftermath of 9/11. Noon.

"Remembrance and Renewal: A Concert to Commemorate the 10th Anniversary of September 11" - Centennial Hall, 1020 E. University Blvd. 3 p.m.

"Americana: Remember 9/11" - DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, Reid Park, near South Country Club Road and East 22nd Street. Tucson Pops Orchestra with guest conductor George Hanson. 7 p.m.

"United" - Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E. Broadway. Reading of Toni Press-Coffman's play about the passengers on United Flight 93. 3 p.m.
