Happy Birthday Tucson – you turned 100 today – and Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!
To mark this special day – Tucson with it’s (at times) unpredictable weather – decided that snow would be a fitting way to mark the day! And so it did – snow in Tucson TODAY!
The snow did not stick to the ground for long and the clouds are still covering the mountains –

but when it clears – this is what they will look like (a photo taken by Mike Jones!)

So we’ve gone from 80 degrees and shorts a few days ago – to 35 for a low and 55 for a high TODAY!
The last time the Tucson valley had a snow day – and the kids were out of school – January 2007. Then last year, Tucson valley got snow that stuck around for a little while was February of 2011! The mountains, however, will be blanketed with snow and I suspect lots of folks will head up to Mt Lemmon for skiing, sledding and some last minute cool winter fun!
