I don't know which I like better, the fire of a Tucson sunset, or the lovely stillness of the moonrise at twilight, after the sun has disappeared in the western sky. I took these two photos a half hour apart, the first from the parking lot at Gates Pass in the Tucson Mountains, and the second a half mile away, from Kinney Road opposite the Old Tucson Studios. I don't know...

Wow- fantastic!! I can't believe you are getting such fantastic pictures and I just spent a fortune on this new camera to do it for me! I am starting to believe it's not the camera after all, it's the operator, we call Photographer!! Nicely Done! How could you have a favorite, they both are WOW!!
No wonder you can't pick a favorite. They are both incredible. So, master mortgage man, cattle hand, blogger extraordinaire , musician and photographer. You sir, are a man of many talents.
I like the sizzling colors best.
Who said you had to choose? Both are beautiful. And Mike,,,, now you should add a sound track. Just the natural evening desert sounds ... small critters scurrying about, an owl, the sound of wind in the canyons. :-)
Mike - There's now way to choose between the two. They are both spectacular! I love the freshness of a new day, but the quiet of a day winding down. Beautiful!
Mike, I like the both. But I must admit, you do live in a great state and always show it off so well.
Don R.
The lack of humidity creats a very clear sky. Good job taking advantage of it.
morning Mike, both are beautiful pics and would actually make great prints. I especially love the moonrise shot. Thx for sharing...
I'm big into the sunset too many trees here to get the dramatic view you have. Thanks for sharing.
Mike - I agree with Jesse, you are a man with many talents. It's a pleasure to have finally met you face to face Thursday! Thank you for sharing your talents with us all!
WOW! That sunset photo is gorgeous! Would make a great potcard for Tucson, don't you think?
Mike- what beautiful photos -
Nice pictures - thanks. You get some really great sunsets over there.
Very nice shots Mike. My sister lives just west and south of Silverbell and Ina. This is what they take for granted most evenings! I was great to meet you Thursday, look forward to seeing you again soon.
Mike I love your "arizona highways" photography... you make this place look great.
Chuck,
God provides the show; I click the camera. That works pretty well!
Doreen,
Your sister lives just north of the spot where I took the sunset photo. Thanks for making the AR get-together a successful first for the group!
Georgina,
I can't wait to visit Hawaii. It's the only state I haven't visited.
Bill & Barbara Jo,
Thanks for stopping to say so! I appreciate the encouragement.
Michelle,
It would make a good postcard, wouldn't it?
Candace,
Thanks for coming back. Igualmente!
Terry,
That was one of the first things we noticed when we moved here ten years ago. No big trees. We miss that, though.
Marti,
Thanks for commenting. The moonrise is the more unusual shot; Arizona sunsets are legendary.
Larry,
People in Tucson complain when the humidity gets to 45%! We came here from NJ ten years ago; the locals don't have a clue about real humid conditions!
Don,
Thank you; there's beauty to be found everywhere in God's creation.
Linda,
Thanks! I should add a sunrise photo and make it a trio!
Cheryl,
That's a good idea; a soundtrack can be done by making a Real Estate Show with this. Now if only we can get Jeff Turner to do the crickets and scorpions at night music... LOL
Susie,
That sunset does sizzle, doesn't it? Thanks for stopping by to comment.
Jesse,
Thanks for the compliment, my friend.
Candace,
Thanks for being the first to comment. I'd be happy to trade you my camera for your new Rebel! LOL

Mike..didn't there used to be a show called "Man with a Camera"?...you should push for a revival!
Mike, Spectacular photos and what a difference 30 minutes makes! You have a wonderful eye! Thanks for sharing this beauty! I think AR is helping us all to "see" more.
Mike - those are awesome pics! I especially like the first one.
Wow I love these. Thanks for taking them and sharing. Did you use a tripod? Just wondering if the placement was exact or not. Thanks again. Lovely!
These are beautiful photographs. I love them both!!
Oh wow Mike.... these are beautiful!!!!
Thanks for sharing!
Susan
Both of those photos are GREAT! You always have great photos in your blogs. Thanks for sharing them.
Bob & Carolin,
Thanks for the encouragement! You're welcome.
Susan,
Ditto my comment to Bob & Carolin! Thanks for stopping by.
Sharon,
Thank you!
Karen,
No tripod used. I used Photoshop (Photoshop Elements will do just as well) to crop each image from the original pics.
Mary,
You're a sunset person! Thanks for commenting.
Margaret,
Thank you for commenting, and for the compliment.
Joan,
It's just plain FUN!

Hey Mike,
Nice talking to you about SendOutCards. I wish you the best of success!Mike: As I've said before (or, at least thought it!), you've got a career as a photographer should you decide to get out of the mortgage business!! Your photos are absolutely gorgeous with vibrant colors and crystal clarity. Thanks for sharing!
Mike, just wondering: were you David Muench in a previous life?
Kent,
Just a minute while I Google David Muench; I haven't a clue. Be right back.
Debe,
You are the most encouraging Rainer! Thank you.
Carlos,
Thanks for your time today; I enjoyed talking with you.
