Thank You Kent Simpson

Kent Simpson

A few months ago I had the opportunity to pass a potential lead to Kent Simpson, an agent who works the cities in and around Tucson, Arizona. That deal was more of a shot in the dark that we both discovered (quite quickly) that it wasn't going to happen.

No problem... there would always be other possibilities. We've had the chance to pass a few ideas back and forth, knowing that someday we may find an opportunity to work together on something.

Last week Kent was up in the Phoenix area and I had the chance to take him to the local favorite for lunch- Rosa's. (They have Mexican Coca Cola... compare the two... there is a difference). Then we drove around, checked out a place or two and shot the breeze. I introduced him to a couple agents and our broker and then we said our goodbyes. All in all- it was an enjoyable experience.

The next day I got a call from a fellow agent asking if I knew a good agent in Tucson. Bingo! "Of course I do!" I replied.

Kent took great care of this lead. I'm convinced the seller is in good hands. Thanks Kent- It was great to meet you and I hope we can find many more opportunities to work together again. I would wish you luck on the listing- but I know you don't rely on that... just good old fashioned hard work.

Hi Chuck...I have not met one Rainer face to face yet but I am so looking forward to it.  One of these days.

Glad you two had some time together.

Coke tastes a little bit different in Egypt and many other places also but it is still delicious.

Kate

Kate- ok... are you baiting me? because I may just go to Egypt and take your challenge. :-)

Nice them them to Kent. I haven't met anyone from here but i feel i will soon.

Chuck - That's a great story.  I'm glad that Active Rain is helping you out.  That's the way it's supposed to work...  :)

Hi Chuck,
Isn't it great when you are asked about an agent that you actually know one in that location?  Yes, I do feel like I really know some of the members here.  You're one of those.

Hi Again...We even have a Coke bottle, one of those small green ones, that has Coke in Arabic.  It's at my daughter's home.  I'll ask her to take a picture of it and I'll post it.

Kate

I've chatted back and forth with Kent and he's great......super to hear how all that cam together.

Kate & Robert- I've had the good fortune to meet a few rainers... it's always a treat.

Debi- It works great... it's so much easier to refer people to those whom you trust.

Cynthia- I feel the same way... now we just need to find someone willing to move away from our areas. :-)

Kate- I remember the green bottles... they do that over there?

Liz- He's every bit as nice and knowledgeable as you'd expect.

Wow Chuck!  Thanks for the kind words--next time, lunch is on me!  I enjoyed seeing a little bit of your 'neck of the woods' also.  Though we have had several phone conversations, meeting face-to-face has its own special quality.  Whether our referrals back and forth ever pan out or not, the building of a business relationship is its own reward.  Best of rewards in your endeavors!

PS:  The thing that makes the difference in Coke from other countries is the fact that they still use cane sugar.  Those made in the U.S. use corn syrup!  (just a little useless trivia for the day)

Good for you, Kent sounds like he is a great connection.  Congratulations to Kent and good luck with your new lead.

Cheron Lange

Kent- Next time lunch is in Tucson then? Maybe we can get Mike to treat. ;-)  The cane sugar makes a noticeable difference... I'm glad we don't have to travel so far to buy the real, real thing.

Cheron- I'm sure he'll take any of your referrals and treat them well also.

Chuck,

This is a great idea (everything but picking up the tab,) but if it's Starbucks, you're on!
