Driving home from the office tonight, I had to pull over, get out, and snap a photo of the architecture that graces Country Club Road in Tucson.
The setting sun painted the Benedictine Sanctuary tower, and created the beginnings of a rainbow in the background.
I stayed for 15 minutes, hoping to capture a full-blown rainbow, but it never materialized.

Mike, you are like me when you see those "special moment" photos. I do like the color you captured and it would have been an added benefit if a full rainbow developed.
Gary,
The monsoons are in full swing, but this cloud didn't have enough rain. Next time.
Marchel,
Thanks for being the first to comment. I was hoping for more color on the clouds as the sun set, but that didn't happen. The tower was bathed in yellow light one monent, and then the moment passed.

Oh, I missed this one. I was over at Marti G's blog bookmarking and came across this link. Some how the colors of the building and the rainbow just seem to fit.
Doreen,
There's only so much time in a day. It's cool how the old posts pop up every once in awhile. Thanks for coming by to comment.

Mike,
I have lived in Tucson for 31 years. In fact, for my first 2 years of college, I rode my bicycle past this building 10 times per week. And yet I have never been inside. How about you?
Patrick
Patrick,
Me, too. I've lived here fewer years than you (ten) and have yet to step foot inside. I intend to change that, though. Thanks for commenting!
