Getting away for ten days does a lot to recharge the batteries, freshen one's outlook, and to minimize the problems that seemed overwhelming just a week ago.
We were in a beautiful area of God's creation--southeastern Oklahoma in the springtime.
Still, the rain across the desert in spring paints the valley floor twenty shades of green, and that rainbow in the distance, (viewed here from Gates Pass Road at the summit of the pass,) made me know why we picked this corner of God's creation to put down roots.

Beautiful photo and description Mike! We are getting away for 2 days this weekend...to Zion National Park in Utah...I'm so looking forward to it.
VERY beautiful Mike. I'd love to have a big motor home that operated on 'solar fuel' and be able to set down roots for months at a time here and there and enjoy many parts of the country. Thanks for recharging your AR fans.
Mike, you always have such great photos and explain them so well. Thank you for the post. :-)

Mike: The photo made me write, but it is too beautiful to adequately put into words.
Mike, That's a phenominal picture. Taking some time to recharge does seem to open your eyes to the beauty that's been right in front of you.
Jesse,
This is a beautiful world we inhabit!
Tara,
Sure you can. Come on back! I appreciate your comments.
Don,
Thanks for the encouragement; it's much appreciated!
Susie,
Thanks right back at you; you made my day!
Mary,
Zion National Park is so very interesting geologically. Please take a lot of digital photos and share when you return!
