Tucson's Version of the Hot Dog: Sonoran!

"So," I asked little Galilea at my favorite roadside hot dog stand here in the Tucson Mountains, "Do you run the business while your Daddy makes the hot dogs?"

"No," she grinned. "Actually, I pretty much don't do anything." Not true. She's the salesperson. Galilea claps her hands and smiles when cars pull up. You can't ignore her, and you will buy one or two sonoran style hot dogs.

If you're reading this from Chicago, you're pretty smug about Italian Beef Chicago Style. You have reason to be--Chicago style hot dogs used to be my favorite when I was National Sales Manager for the OPEX Business Machine Corporation.

I always looked forward to traveling with my salesperson who covered the Chicago territory because of the hot dogs. They're fantastic.

These are better. Don't diss them until you've made the trip west to try them. Call me.

Hi Mike, If I ever come out that way, I will try them and look you up.  Believe it or not, my brother sell hot dogs and other things from a cart in Philly.

Mike, The one question that hasn't been ask is...........Where is this cart set up?  From the picture it liiks like a roadside cart in the outskirts of town.  Good post and it makes me want a hot dog.

Don R.

I haven't eaten yet this morning!  My protein shake doesn't sound good now.

Hotdogs from a cart vendor always taste better.  Not sure why, but they do.

Hi Mike,

What a little cutie. As for Sonoran hot dogs, never heard of them before.

Hi Mike,
Well, I know I could not resist that cute little girl, what an asset she is to the business.  (Dad is no dummy).

Good Morning Mike - I see dad knows a thing or two about the effective use of children in marketing

My husband loves these dogs! What a great little saleswoman I am sure she is!

Can you overnight one to me? :-)

Susan

Ahhh I miss Chicago Style hot dogs - there are 2 hot dog joints in all of the Milwaukee area, and they usually don't get them right.

April,

It's like the "Philly Cheesesteaks" they sell here in Tucson!

Susan,

Is it all right with you if I fax it instead?

Kristen,

Me, too!  My Darlin' doesn't like them because they're messy.

Kathy,

He's no dummy, is he?

Cynthia,

Please don't nail me for plagiarism.  LOL

Lynda,

Well, now you have!  Come on over.

Eric,

Come on out, and we'll do it!

Shelli,

Yes, maam!  You come on down, and I'll buy.  How can we do some business togetherd?

Doreen,

It's the fresh air!

Susie,

Ditch the protein shake.  Life's too short.

Don,

The cart is set up most afternoons on Kinney Road north of Ajo.  It's my neighborhood.

Vickie,

I love Philly carts.  I especially like those hot soft pretzels with all the salt!
