Chilliwack - In Case You Didn't Know!

In Case you Didn't Know ~The name Chilliwack comes from the Halkomelem word Tcil'Qe'uk, meaning "valley of many streams". Chilliwack is nestled in a wide, fertile river valley surrounded by endless mountains, miles of crystal clear lakes, and acres of untamed wilderness. It is quite literally one of the most extraordinary areas of the planet.

Located in the upper Fraser Valley, 100 kms east of Vancouver on the Trans Canada Highway, the city borders the Fraser River on the Northside and the Canadian-U.S. border on the South...

Liz, Chilliwack is certainly an extraordinarily beautiful place and I see there is more than enough to do. My pick is the Traditional Plants of the Cascades.

OH Hi LIz,

What a great explanation of Chlliwack, and I saw those guys play; they were pretty good.

Liz.. this is pretty interesting... I was speaking to Carolyn about this type post yesterday

Liz -- nice photos!  I remember the group Chilliwack -- read the famous people blog too -- that's a lotta folks from a relatively small area.

Mesmerzing photos and information as always, Liz. Your posts are one of the reasons I keep coming back to Active Rain

Liz - Thanks for sharing some background info about Chilliwack.  I haven't been out west for many years.

Liz --- thanks for introducing me to Chilliwak --- beautiful photos and fascinating information. This definitely makes me want to go to Canada.

Mama Liz's Signature

Wow, Liz, Impressive with all the information (AND LINKS) about Chilliwack and things to do there!  It sounds like a wonderful place to be, no wonder you love it there.

Liz, what amazed me was the large population of Chilliwack. I didn't think it was that large.

Liz - This is an informative post and your lovely photos certainly showcased the area.

Thanks Jennifer...........and Gary is it bigger..?  How big did you think it was|? ;-)

Liz and Carole- although I love it truly - I love to visit other places..........there are so many beautiful places in this world of ours!

Thank you all for stopping by! :-)

Indeed, a very extraordinary and beautiful place, Liz!  What a great post full of tons of links.  I didn't realize there were 80,000 people, that is really a nice sized town.

Thanks Mary - it does have a small time feel despite thesize! :-)
