I've been to Harrison Hot Springs and Liz, I have to say... you did a beautiful job characterizing this magnificent locale. And that sand castle contest is amazing!! My son's best friend's dad is a hot competitor in this and you just would not believe the stuff they do with sand! I hope you do post about that because it's nothing short of phenomenal!!

Liz, you really live in a pretty area.  We visited Whistler a few years ago and spent a little time around Vancouver.  Our daughter fell in love with the native art work which she has shared with our son.  We just ordered a print from the Black Tusk Gallery for my son.

Liz, Harrison Hot Springs is gorgeous. I need to start vacationing in your backyard. You, BTW Liz, have grown into a tremendous photographer.

These pictures that you took are so beautiful and the lake looks so serene.


We are from the other Vancouver in SW Washington at the border of Washington and Oregon.

Jennifer - thats cool that you've been there - I didn't add the sandcastles because I have to go back andtake some photos, they were closed when I went on tuesday.........so more to come! I've always love sandcastles......they do an amazing job! I thought I did add it to localism! :-)

Marchel -Whistler is beauiful and you probably know the 2010 Olympics will be held there........and yes the native art is big - so very cool that you ordered the artwork from the Black Tusk Gallary!  :-)

Patty and Scott - Yes I've been to our sister cityh of the same name many times! Cool eh?.......Thanks so much for the comments..........I remmberyears ago when that earthquake happened in your site all my family from europe called to see if we were ok thinking it was the same city!

Robert you're right - I think it does look like alaska.........although I've never been, my daughters went on a cruise last year and judging by the photos...........they're very much alike!

Liz... I meant the new feature where you can submit photos to Localism for a specific area - independent of the blog itself. Just thought you have some nice photos of the area :)

I have driven by there yet never stopped. I have heard good things about it forever.

Jennifer - sorry yes of course that makes sense -thanks I'll have another look........ I did try posting some photos to the new localism........i was a little blown away as to what kind of photos are posted.......like photos of every school project the realtor's child did in school......to crafts for sale.......its kind of weird....i'll have to go back and check again and see whats changed...:-)

Steven stop and have sunday brunch at the Lakeside.....and take a look at the Sandcastles on display - its a nice easy sunday drive for you!  :-)
