Golden Ears Bridge just weeks from Opening Day June 30th!

Scheduled to open June 30, 2009 the Golden Ears Bridge is just having the finishing touches put on it as I write this. These shots was taken from the Maple Ridge Industrial Park bridge on/off ramp yesterday. The approaches and freeway are all done! I actually saw workers driving back and forth over the bridge. The landscaping and toll booth construction is well underway.

I still have a huge problem with Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows being singled out to pay a toll when places like Richmond take the Knight Street, Arthur Lang, Deas Island for granted but lets get it open then complain! :)

There seems to be an army of security guards preventing people from getting close to this project so if you wander over be prepared to be 'moved along'. As it was yesterday I had to quickly take these pictures before being given the bumbs rush.

This long awaited transportation improvement will most certainly boost the value of Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows Real Estate.
