The Other Side Of Me: After the Western Canadians
Hello everyone! I am posting this as a follow up to my original post, "The Other Side Of Me". as I received such wonderful comments and encouragement back from you. I am so very pleased to have inspired people. When something in life makes you feel this good it needs to be shared.
Well, here's how it all shook out:
I broke 8 Canadian records in 9 attempts. All 9 attempts were successful and at the end of the squat and deadlift attempts I felt like there was still fuel left in the tank, but I'm saving it for the Canadian Championships. As well as these records I won the Best Lifter over all weight classes. It was, for me, a stellar day...What a return after 15 years of retirement!
I squatted 140 kgs (309 lbs) Broke this event record twice.
Benchpressed 81 kgs (179 lbs) Broke this event record twice.
Deadlifted 160 kgs (353 lbs) Broke this event record three times.
Totaled 380 kgs (838 lbs) This was actually broken 3 times in the deadlift event but can only be counted once.
I weighed in at 64 kgs or 141 lbs.
Currently I'm still looking for the license number of the Mac truck that must have run over my body yesterday when I wasn't looking; Holy Cow, am I sore today!
Now I'll take 14 days off and begin a training cycle for the 2011 Canadians. As I begin this, I will also begin working towards a much better year in 2011 in my business. I know my mindset will be right as it will be fueled by my training ethic. This ethic is what will bring it in my business next year. My thanks again to you for your wonderful words of support and encouragement! I have no photos back yet, but as soon as I do, I will post them!
