Give to Keep the Homeless Warm

I just saw a news story regarding donating clothing and blankets for the homeless here in Vancouver. Vancity through their website and blog at changeeverything.ca is reaching out to people who may have clothes, hats or blankets to donate, but don't know how to get them to the people who need them. If you are interested in helping make real changes in yourself, your home and communities in Greater Vancouver and Greater Victoria this seems like a great site.

Well you can let them know and you can also contact your local REALTOR in Greater Vancouver. Through the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board's REALTOR's Care Charity we are in the last days of the 2006 Blanket Drive. The weather is going to warm up now, but the need will not go away. It will get cold again this winter and don't forget the Food Bank. They have a great site there. And don't bother giving them a flat of cans of soup, etc. Save your back, and the trip to the store, and give them cold hard cash. Believe it or not they can buy it cheaper than we can.
