Live music every Monday at Rock Salt Cafe in Fulford Village (Rock Salt Unplugged...6 to 8 p.m.). Also, on Nov. 11th, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., enjoy Women's Wine & Cheese Night, at Rock Salt! Tonight, Peter Prince plays Acoustic Roots & Global Grooves, at Raven Street Market Cafe, at 6 p.m. On November 21st, enjoy Liona Boyd at ArtSpring, call ticket office at: 250-537-2102. On Nov 12 & 13, Bach on the Rock opens with its choral season...enjoy Bach, Mozart & Purcell. At the Salt Spring United Church (7 p.m. on the 12th & 2 p.m. on the 13th). Mark your calendars, too, for November 19 (8 p.m.) & 20th (2 p.m.), for Viva Voce's Songs from the Heart (at ArtSpring). Salt Spring Singers present Roses for Christmas, on Dec 3 & 4th, also at ArtSpring. This Monday, the 7th, catch Salt Spring Folk Club's presentation of David Francey (show starts at 7 p.m.). Craft Fairs this month and next. Tonight and tomorrow, at Mahon Hall, it's the 4th Annual Salt Spring Island Craft Bazaar...tonight, $5 cover, is Nixxi Fashion Show (5 to 8 p.m.)...music/food/art gallery...and tomorrow (no cover) the craft bazaar is open between 10 & 4 p.m. Eclectic goodies, here! Wintercraft is on between December 2nd and 18th, at Mahon Hall...over 80 artists and crafters on display, here...the theme is "handmade".
Starting at Mahon Hall on 11/11/11, it's the Salt Spring Community Theatre's presentation of Daddy's Girl... Show runs 11, 12, 18, 19 at 8 p.m., and 2 p.m. on the 13th.
The 7th, at ArtSpring, is the second All Candidates Meeting for the upcoming civic election...check this out, plus listen to the CFSI radio station presentation of the candidates...read the Driftwood Newspaper...be informed and make sure you vote! Everyone's voice needs to be heard! Advance Poll at the Fire Hall in Ganges, on the 9th and the 16th. Voting day is the 19th.
The softer season for sure, with lots to do and to see, special menus and special pricings in our great restaurants, anticipation of the "light up" and seasonal delights of Christmas / New Year at month's end...a time to remember the concept of gratitude and to include those on their own, at this time of year.
