Remembrance Day.

A Cenotaph service, beginning at 10:40, at Centennial Park, in Ganges Village. Two minutes of silence at 11 a.m., a pause to remember all those who served their country, in time of war, to preserve our way of life.

Share this community remembrance, and honor those who stepped to the plate, and fought for our benefit.

If you have time, pop by the Legion...meet the veterans, listen to their histories...an Open House for Islanders.

Along with this annual Remembrance, on this date/at this time, it is also an interesting date on its own: 11/11/11.

Perhaps notification of a shift? A marker of some significant change?
