Vote in upcoming civic election...important for Salt Spring!

Chamber of Commerce mixer today... meet & mingle with the candidates running for office in the upcoming civic election. Trust, CRD, School Board candidates will be present. Call Janet at the Chamber office for details! Listen to what the candidates have to say...it's an important election...essential to vote!

Another opportunity to vote early, tomorrow, at Fire Hall in Ganges. Election day is the 19th.

So important, too, to join the Chamber of Commerce...now tiered system for membership dues, recognizing the differences in business needs.

The Chamber's purpose, throughout B.C., is to be the voice of business concerns/to lobby the government about same, for every community.

In being an unincorporated area, this is a strong platform for Salt Spring Islanders.

My theory: everyone on this Island is in business if they are providing a service, an item...artists, contractors, retail, restaurants, hospitality options, farmers, tourism, etc etc etc...it involves everyone, this enterprise called Salt Spring Island, if it is to remain viable.
