The season's festive spirit continues....

Today, at 12:10 p.m., be inspired by the musical journey through varying traditions, with Rasma Bertz...part of Music & Munch, at All Saints by the Sea!

Santa's Ganges Workshop continues behind Mouat's...photos with Santa (kids & pets). On Dec 10th, from 11 to 3, & again on Dec 17th, from noon to 4. Fun!

Also on Dec 10th, at ArtSpring, starting at 8 p.m., enjoy the Salt Spring Concert Band...It's a Wonderful Life (and it is!).

Santa arrives by ship on the 10th...don't miss this! His ship glides down the Harbour, with fireworks and carols...see you at the Coast Guard Dock! At dusk...5:30ish??

A Chanukah Folk Opera at ArtSpring, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., on Dec 13 & 14 (Oil for the Lamps).

Oh so talented Viva Voce choir will be offering caroling sing-alongs: Dec 15th, at Meadowbrook at 4:30 and at Heritage Place at 5 p.m. They will also be at a Food Bank Fundraiser, at All Saints by the Sea, on Dec 16th, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Catch them again at Greenwoods, at 10 a.m. On Dec 17th, plus at Braehaven at 11 a.m. Well done, Viva Voce!

Mark your calendars...Sunday, Dec 18th, it's the first sing-along for Salt Spring, presented by Bach on the Rock...at ArtSpring, from 2 to 4 p.m. Singalong Messiah concert! Be inspired....

Craft fairs (catch WinterCraft at Mahon Hall), gallery showcases (Gallery 8, Steffich Fine Art, Salt Spring Gallery of Fine Art, Pegasus Gallery of Canadian Art), studio tours, special menus (Harbour House Hotel, Calvin's Bistro, Treehouse Cafe, Marketplace, Rock Salt Cafe, Piccolo's, Hastings House, Moby's), bookstores to entice (Volume 2, Salt Spring Books, Black Sheep Books, Watermark Books...eat, sleep, read...not a bad mantra for the softer side season (winter, of course!).

Take time...include family and friends...remember the Food Bank, Salvation Army, Copper Kettle...catch the amazingly talented Scott Hylands and his one man show, from A Christmas Carol!
