REALTORS® Care, Blanket Drive

As in most of the Lower Mainland area, Abbotsford's number of homeless people has grown exponentially over the last few years. The extent of the Abbotsford's homeless population is not precisely known. It is widely believed that the homeless population of Abbotsford could be well over 200 people and rising. Every year, Lower Mainland REALTORS® organize a Blanket Drive to collect blankets and warm and/or waterproof clothing to help people in need stave off the winter cold and wet. Last year, in the entire Lower Mainland, we (The Realtors) helped to donate and collect 3,365 bags of blankets and clothing. There are about 140 real estate offices across the Fraser Valley, Greater Vancouver and Chilliwack and district serving as drop-off locations.
