I just got back from a wonderful 2 days all expenses paid Real Estate junket to Sun Peaks ( 30 minutes North of Kamloops B.C.) sponsored by Re/Max Alpine Resort Realty corp at Sun Peaks Resort! We stayed at the amazing Delta Sun Peaks Resort.........where service was fantastic, rooms were superb.....
What can I say...........well actually lots! It was a triple Wow........I'm not much of a skier but this Alpine Oasis is filled with adventure possibilites! Gorgeous alpine wildflowers........
A world-renowned mountain bike park,(Bike Park Sun Peaks Resort) with over 2,000 vertical feet of lift accessed terrain on 30 separate trails spread over 70 kms.........an incredible 18-hole Graham Cooke designed golf course..........and of course a quaint early Whistler-like village of intimate restaurants, patios, shops and hotels...........
We spent Thursday playing Golf........and talk about playing to new heights! Its rather crazy how the distance a golf ball travels at 1,200 metres above sea level.........beautiful panoramic views, checkered with risk and reward opportunities that appeal to every level of golfer!
Sun Peaks Resorts is the largest four season resort in the Interior of B.C., surrounded by 3 mountains and boasting 2,000 hours of sunshine each year! In other words if you're looking for a vacatin get-a-way that you can enjoy year-a-round at a fraction of the cost of other world reknowned resorts this is it!
Actually to be honest thats why we were invited! Not only to experience what Sun Peaks has to offer. But to look at the real estate available. We had a tour of the condos, townhome and housing sites.......and they blew our minds.........With over 70% of the properties being ski-in-ski-out.......(in other words you can ski right out your front door to the slopes.........Here's a peek at a few....

After doing the tour..........I indulged.............I went to the Sun Peaks Spa and had the most wonder massage treatments...........perfect after a day of golf, skiing or whatever! Ask for Nicole....she's a doll...:-)
But lets not forget about the skiing. I mean it is a ski resort and............just a few months away......... this place becomes a Winter Wonderland.........(Check out the map of ski trails).
Also of interest.......Sun Peaks is steeped in Olympic greatness as the director of skiing is the female Athlete of the Century and Olympic Champion Nancy Greene.......she's on the slopes almost every day of the season......to inspire local athletes and visitors. AND...the Austrian National Ski Team calls Sun Peaks home for early season World Cup and 2010 Olympic Training!
As you can tell I could go on and on and on and on.........and hmm I'm thinking I have! :-)

Liz, I was awaiting all your pictures from Sun Peaks and it looks like a great place to travel to in the summertime as well. Maybe THIS is where I should take a vacation. It looks lovely. The resort, the biking, the flowers, the town, it all looks so peaceful. It's amazing you made it back home without wanting to stay there longer. Great photography.

Ron - thanks! sometimes I think I'd like to take 10 - 2 day vacations rather then 1 - 20 day one! :-)
Sharon..........it was lovely - so different then in the winter - but its wonderful to see the contrast of the seasons............its only a 3 hr drive from where I live, will have to visit back soon!
Liz, remember, I never sleep and I have that computer chip implanted in my body ; ) You put out great stuff. I'm getting borderline dangerous now because I'll be signing up for Google alerts soon which will tell me any time my name is picked up on the net. Scarey stuff. Stop the world I want to get off : ) Want to run away with me to a colony on Mars?? :)
Gary I signed up for Google Alerts.......and you're right it pops up every time you write a blog, and every time someone links you on theirs! On a blackberry you almost have to program a different sound just for the alert.......But I was reading Jason Crouch's blog recently about checking to see how many linkbacks you get on both Google and Yahoo........and I was shocked....I only had 7 come up on google........but 787 on yahoo! Wild eh? Hmmm do you guys use yahoo more then google down south there?
Run away? Yep I often want to do that...............but Mars?........hmmm........I think thats where I was born.....;-)

What a beautiful place and what a beautiful post, spectacular scenery. And I see you're from Vancouver, also spectacular. Biked around there myself, Stanley Park (I think) it was huge.

Liz, I search more on Google than Yahoo and my buyers say they search more on Google Base than Yahoo as well... for what its worth. Glad you and Lynda connected. Two of my favorite West Coast people : )
I search Google too......so I was surprised to find out how many people still use Yahoo! Add google alert and YOU will go mental... i guarantee it!
Liz, These photos are gorgeous, I absolutely felt like I was there with you---well, almost. I used to do a lot of picture filled posts but they take so long and I don't have the time right now...so I get to enjoy yours :)!
Carole: I think the pictures are my favorite part - I must be like a kid or something - I never thought that I was primarily visual - but maybe its 'adult onset' in my case? :-)
