Not Hawaii, Not Florida, Not Mexico, Not the Med, just Good Old Victoria, BC

Cordova Bay Beach, Victoria, BCI used to be so envious of people who live in hot climates, but as I get older I realise how lucky I am to be living in Victoria, BC . . . our little piece of Paradise.

We may not have the hot sandy beaches that you find in all those other locations, but we have such great beauty here on the west coast of Canada. There are not too many cities where, on a beautiful sunny warm day you can also enjoy the snow-capped views of Mt. Baker and the Olympic Mountains. As Steven Nickens, of Maui says - our beauty is opposite to that of Hawaii's beauty.

Mind you, my wife and I are going to visit Hawaii one of these days, to enjoy the sand and surf and say "Aloha" to Steven.

Hi David -

Well Hawaii is the ultimate goal for me - but in the meantime (when it's NOT raining) I can appreciate how beautiful it is here in the mountains!  (Langley)

Cheers!

Hi Teri-Lyn - I agree with you, there is no more beautiful place than BC and even the weather is still co-operating as the sun is shining again today.

Couldn't agree more - tropical climates are great to visit, but pacific coastal living is the life for me - rain and all!

Hi Angela - Yes, I think all of us B.C 'ers agree that we live in a wonderful part of Canada.!
