Fred, Thanks for the reminder of another glorious location and fond memories of the Pacific Northwest! I remember the Empress when we came up to visit Victoria and the visit to Butchart Gardens in May, many years ago! We lived in WA and would travel north in summer and winter on vacations. The Empress is by far, the most magnificent hotel you could visit! I hear WA got lots of snow dumped today! That's what I don't miss....
If anyone has the opportunity to visit Victoria, go to the harbor and see all the sights. And don't forget "high tea"!
Hi Katerina..A good excuse for the Gasset's to come this way, hopefully this Year..not only is the The Empress 100, but the Province of BC is celebrating 150 year Birthday too, and Victoria is the capital so this year should be busy.
Hi Sherry.....First Victoria does not get Snow...Well Maybe a little, we saw some today, first snowfall this year, but only in the outlying areas, nothing down by the Ocean or Inner Harbour by The Empress. They're spending a million dollars decorating the Lady for her 100th Birthday.
