Things to Do in Alameda

ERIC KOS AND DENNIS EVANOSKY
Things to Do in Alameda usually appears on Fridays. This is a special notice. If you haven’t seen my blogs about the Alameda Walks tours which sometimes feature Dennis Evanosky and Eric J. Kos and their history tours, now is your chance to see them live and in color. Dennis and Eric are the publishers of the Alameda Sun and local “know it alls” about Alameda history. See them on Wednesday, January 18 at the Alameda Main Library, 1550 Oak Street from 6:30 to 8pm.

Dennis and Eric have billed their talk a “Balloon Flight over Webster Street in the Year 1888” using historic maps, photographs and illustrations. They will “fly” over Neptune Beach, the Croll’s Building, early businesses, the two railroads in existence then and some of the colorful characters who help create our delightful home town. The two "historian" are really good at making history fun and entertaining. Below is a video I took of Dennis and Eric leading an Alameda Walks tour.
Things to Do in Alameda is all about events for the whole family to enjoy in Alameda. I write about Things to do in Alameda every Friday, so if you like what you see here, please come back for more or visit me on Facebook.
