Yesterday was a full day of festivities in Anderson at the Coleman Fish Hatchery. The Return of the Salmon Festival was a gathering place for the community. Over 10,000 people visited the hatchery to see the spawning salmon return to their origins on Battle Creek. This is a chance for the public to see the fish hatchery's inner workings.
Many organizations participated with an array of exhibits on natural resources. University Preparatory High School'senvironmental science class was there to raise funds for their class projects as well. The students offered face painting and "pipe-cleaner" endangered species.
Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Raudman for a long day with the students!
