Yesterday was the annual Strawberry Festival in Happy Valley-an unincorporated townin Anderson, CA. I was blessed to be able to help serve Strawberry Shortcake. YUM! People come from all over the area to get fresh, local strawberries on shortcake with vanilla ice cream! It is so great to see the community come out and take pride in the place they live in. Garage sale signs line the route to the Festival. Many local residents sell their crafts, etc. So much work goes in to the one day event. And it takes so much volunteer effort. Thanks to all who were able to help the Event Staff continue to bring the Strawberry Festival to Shasta County. Good Job!
