Construction continues on the new Banning Police Department. For anyone that hadn't noticed, that new building next to City Hall is the new Police Department. The Chamber of Commerce was in that location before relocating across the street. This is just one of the projects that is either underway or planned on Ramsey, the main street. A lot of Development and Re-Development going on, even in this tough economy.
Recently the new Rite Aid and Western Dental on 8th Street was completed, and there's a new hotel down by Sunset. The building on the corner of Ramsey and San Gorgonio is still undergoing work on the new facade, and when it's done will complement the Coplin Building across the street from it. Yes, a lot of changes to our town, all helping to upgrade the Downtown district.

I'm thinkin NOW would be a good time to look over the escape routes...for future reference...
Kathy ........ hummmmmmmmm ......... I don't know but I think they might have a challenge holding on to prisioners in that building :) :)
Kathy: I couldn't stop staring at the sky and clouds!!!!
How great that you are seeing important improvements to your community even during these tough times!
Mara- Ya know I never thought of that LOL :)
George, no worries we will have a very large jail a couple miles away :)
Kat-I took this picture from across the street shortly after the rain stopped one day a couple weeks ago. I was shocked at the blue of the sky, and the clouds....nothing was manipulated, or corrected...loved the sky during those couple hours :) And from Banning we can see the snow on Mt. San Jacinto and the San Gorgonio Mountain Range.
Diane- It is good to see the improvements, and this whole area will be undergoing many changes in the future.
Kathy, So strange when I say that picture because about a week ago I had a dream that I visited you in your office. Do you have an upstairs office? There were buildings all around you that looked like they had been on fire or half built or something similar????
Hi Jane-Wow...you were close...my "old" office was right around the corner from this building site, and a lot of the buildings have had facelifts. So yes, many were getting facelifts, and were like they were 1/2 built and my office was on the bottom floor of one of the 2 story buildings on the block.
