On the San Francisco Peninsula today it seems there are fewer dedicated plant nurseries than in years gone by. One that has stayed the course is Tyler's Carlmont Nursery in Belmont, California.

Located in the Carlmont Shopping Center, Carlmont Nursery has been a resource to the community for years -- they were here when I bought my first house in 1971; they were the ones I turned to for advice, plants, garden books and equipment; it was here I'd buy my bare root roses and learn what to do with them.

39 years later, shopping here is as rewarding as ever, and the beautiful setting in a convenient location makes it enjoyable as well.
