Who isn't a fan of Orange County, John Wayne and our own Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park? Those three things are just a terrific combo no matter how you add them up. Today while doing some research for a prior blog I came accross some little know trivia about all those three.
Did you know that John Wayne and his son Ethan had the honor of Opening the Log Ride at Knotts?
The date was July 11, 1969. I would have loved to been there for that. Let's step back in time for a moment and do just that, as I share the video clip of that day!! Enjoy!!

The year was 1920 when Walter and Cordelia Knott moved to the community of Buena Park, to farm 20 acres of rented land. Today, that land is part of 160-acre Knott's Berry Farm, America's first theme park and the 12th most-visited amusement park in the country.
