Buyers in the Carlsbad real estate market have lots of options, it is pretty competitive in the under $500K price range. Buyers who are interested in condos and townhomes in La Costa may find the units at La Costa Meadowridge in the eastern side of La Costa near the San Marcos line appealing, given the proximity to amenities and the beaches, overall look and feel, pricing and size.

La Costa and Carlsbad Area Amenities

Shopping options abound just a few miles away along El Camino Real in Carlsbad or in San Marcos along San Marcos Boulevard. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy La Costa Resort and Spa, the Four Seasons Aviara Resort or the newest municipal golf course at The Crossings of Carlsbad.

There are plentiful dining options both in San Marcos (especially Restaurant Row - my fave is the Market St. Cafe) and along El Camino Real. And of course the beautiful Carlsbad and Encinitas beaches are only 15 minutes away. You can also enjoy the walking trails along the Batiquitos Lagoon in Aviara, Legoland, The Flower Fields, and other tourist attractions.

 

La Costa Meadowridge Homes

La Costa Meadowridge homes are attached condos and townhomes, with attached garages and small patios (for downstairs and townhome units). There are 350 homes that were built in 8 phases beginning in the early 1980. Homeowners have easy access to two swimming pools with hot tubs and several tennis courts. There are multiple floor plans with living space ranging from 1135 to 1791 SF with 2 or 3 bedrooms and 2 - 3 (total) baths.

There are not many homes that come on the market, at least in recent times, but current pricing and sales in 2010 range from the mid $200,000s to the high $300,000s. 

Children attend the San Marcos Unified School District. HOA fees are in the $269 to $309 range but should be verified during the purchase process.

 

La Costa Meadowridge Home Owners' Association
