Carlsbad buyers and sellers – Wondering if your house will sell? Have you consulted your psychic today?
If not, read on.
Given today’s real estate market and the media maelstrom of bad news, Carlsbad buyers and sellers are understandably concerned about the market. Folks ask questions about the housing market for which there are no definitive answers. Lots of speculation, predictions, and cocktail talk, but no answers. We know real estate is cyclical, but there is no crystal ball (photo courtesy of bb_matt on Flickr), as we often say, although we might all like to have one to help us with issues and predicaments like these:
Carlsbad buyers want to know how the housing market is doing. Are prices going to drop further? Is now the right time to buy? What will happen with prices in the future?
Sellers, are we talking about consulting a “psychic REALTOR?” Nope. Some think they are, or act that way.
But the psychics at California Psychics, according to David Azzarello, Director of Marketing for California Psychics in West Hollywood, ARE being asked more frequently by sellers if their home will sell. Indeed, this is one of the more popular questions callers have when they contact one of the company’s psychics on the telephone. And the number of callers with concerns about the housing market has increased substantially, which is no surprise. I would expect some buyers also request a psychic’s help with their home buying futures.
Of course there are many other questions and issues raised about love, career, money, and life in general, perhaps the more traditional reasons to contact a psychic. And California Psychics has a wide range of specialists one can consult depending on your preference. Check out their specialties and availability for a consultation.
Do I advocate consulting a psychic when selling, or buying, your home? Well, that’s entirely up to you.
If you have done everything right, including pricing, your home will sell. But if the home is over-priced, or does not show well, maybe consulting a psychic is not a bad idea. If you don’t want to listen to a knowledgeable agent, maybe you will listen to a California Psychic.
And if you are one of those buyers who keeps seeking “the perfect home,” wants the best deal, or simply cannot make a decision, a California Psychic may be able to help you. What can it hurt?

I had a good chuckle reading this post Jeff. You are so right on!
Thank you, Monika. What is interesting is that there is a reality to all this - psychics ARE getting more involved. The real estate world touches so many folks in so many ways. Perhaps we should consult one regarding our own business?? :)
Jeff
Jeff, I've never seen a market where all the buyers bid low and the sellers want more than the market will allow. Great post.
Crystal Balls have always worked well for me! LOL! Times certainly are straining many homeowners, but this too shall pass. Hang in there...
kk
Jeff... speculation and predicting... ouch and double ouch. Yes, it can be fun.... entertaining... and you might be correct 50% of the time. But how about letting a real estate professional lead you in the right direction.
Kay - it's a challenge isn't it? Hopefully we will see the gap decreasing more over time.
Jeff
KK - Well, my crystal ball never seems to work correctly. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. :)
Jeff
Jeff - well I couldn't agree more. but some don't want to listen.
Jeff
Jeff,
LOL! I tell my clients or would be clients that if I was a Psychic...then I'd be rich and wouldn't have to sell RE:)
Now this is thinking OUTSIDE of the BOX! Very clever!
Neal - well that seems like an appropriate response. Don't we wish?
Jeff
Diane - well it is certainly another approach. Everyone these days seems to be making predictions adn they keep changing.
Jeff
What's the number of that psychic? Just kidding!
Kelly - Check out their website and you can pick whoever you wish to talk with!
Jeff
Jeff, love the idea of checking in with a psychic. I think that they can be more objective than the media now a days. :-)
JEFF - since the media doesn't seem to give very good information about the market, seems that a (CA) psychic would be AT LEAST as accurate. Why not?? -- Kay (the wife)
Irina - well I suspect that is VERY true. They have nothing to gain by not being as straighforward as they can.
Jeff
Kay - agreed. It wouldn't be hard to be more accurate than the media seems to be.
Jeff
Jeff: Only in CA....We have 'Psychic to the Stars'...why not 'Psychic to the Realtors?' Nice to see I'm not the only one who attracts the Bubble bloggers!...
Rich - LOL. Well California seems to be the starting point of most trends. I wonder is agents contact psychics too, or just buyers and sellers?
Jeff
I get the question all the time. You really can't give a prediction. I tell buyers how far home prices have come down in the last year, that we can get an even better price with a foreclosure and that there is a lot of negotiating room to protect them against further declines and that inventory gives them a wide selection of homes. What more an we do?
Lenn - Yep, agreed. Lots of conjecture but no one really knows. I tell buyers the same thing.
Jeff
JEFF!!!!! KILL me with LAUGHTER!!!! No, I don't consult a psychic, I just ask my dog. "Simon, what will the real estate market do today?" and then he looks at me with those old German Shepherd eyes, and the benefit is that I get to interpret however I want. ;) (By the way, today he says, "Keep on holding on..."
LOL, Sara. at least he knows when to keep his mouth shut. We could all learn from Simon.
Jeff
I think its time to use some 'reverse' psychology - we're always telling people 'its a great time to buy'......Maybe we should be saying 'buying is only for the risk takers ' most people are too conservative.....and wait till the trains already going... to hop on - its the rare buyer that has his ear to the ground - we need pioneers.......so few of them around........(big smile|) most people just do what everyone else is doing.........on the other hand......
Well there's an interesting strategy, Liz. Besides, if you follow, you get the leftovers.
