With a median price of around $453,000, versus $700,000 for detached homes, condos in Carlsbad provide a more affordable alternative for many buyers. And with the Carlsbad real estate market inventory, buyers can select from a wide range of homes in a variety of areas to appeal to their lifestyle and budget.
Here’s a summary of many of the Carlsbad neighborhoods and subdivisions. Being near Carlsbad Village has a number of advantages. Certainly the beaches are a major draw for residents and visitors alike. And proximity to downtown Carlsbad shopping, restaurants galore, and the twice-weekly farmer’s market makes this area desirable for many. Turns out there are a good number of choices depending on your budget and where you want to live. Take a trip along Route 101 for get a feel for the general area.
The complex was built in the mid 1980s and is town-house style, with 72 units. The units all surround pleasant green space, common areas and lush vegetation, with a community pool and spa. HOA fees are around $336 per month, and children in Windsong Palms attend the Carlsbad schools. Currently there are only 2 Carlsbad homes for sale at Windsong Palms – one, a 1600 SF 2 bedroom 2 bath unit priced at $479,900, the other a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath unit with 1436 SF and priced at $436,000. One unit just went under contract. Only 4 units have come on the market and sold in the last year, at an average price of $454,750. Hi Jeff, The affordability factor has improved greatly over last year in San Diego and I think Carlsbad is leading the way in good news of improved market conditions. Very nice post. This looks like an interesting subdivision.

Thanks, William. It's an attractive complex and in a great location. THings are improving in Carlsbad although the absoprtion rate in up a bit for detached homes, but down for attached.
